September 18 (SeeNews) - The net profit of Slovenian banks increased 19.1% year-on-year in the first seven months of 2018 to 342.3 million euro ($400.1 million), the country's central bank said.
The Slovenian banks' net interest income rose 3.4% on the year to 389.3 million euro in the seven-month period, while their net fee and commission income edged up 1.9% to 186.7 million euro, Bank of Slovenia said in a monthly report on the performance of the banking sector.
The banking sector's total gross revenue rose by an annual 5.0% to 690.9 million euro in January-July, while operating costs dropped 0.9% to 377.6 million euro.
Slovenian banks' total assets increased to 38.725 billion euro as at end-July, up from 37.946 million euro at the end-2017 level.
