May 10 (SeeNews) - Croatia's consumer confidence index rose by 1.0 percentage points month-on-month in April and by 9.5 percentage points compared to the same month of 2023, central bank data showed.
The index tracking consumer expectations went up 1.8 percentage points on a monthly comparison basis in April, while in annual terms it rose by 11 points, according to figures published by the Croatian central bank.
The consumer sentiment index increased by 1.0 percentage points month-on-month and added 9.3 percentage points year-on-year in April.
The consumers’ opinion about the development of the general economic situation in Croatia over the past 12 months improved by 2.4 percentage points month on-month and was higher by 13.9 points year-on-year in April.
Regarding their expectations about the economy in the next 12 months, consumers were more optimistic in April than they had been a month earlier, with the index up 3.3 points. Compared to April 2023, the index measuring the expectations about the economic situation advanced 14.1 percentage points.
