January 7 (SeeNews) - Serbia's production of crude steel rose by 38.9% on the year in the first eleven months of 2018, reaching 1.826 million tonnes, according to data of the World Steel Association.
Serbia was the largest producer of crude steel among the seven countries of Southeast Europe (SEE) listed in the World Steel Association's monthly crude steel production report for November.
The total production of the seven listed countries -- Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Serbia and Moldova -- rose by 17.8% on the year to 4.536 million tonnes in the first eleven months of 2018.
Bosnia came second with production of 616,000 tonnes, down from 680,000 tonnes in the like period of last year.
