April 4 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's arms exports reached 92.4 million marka ($51.2 million/47.2 million euro) in the first quarter of 2024, significantly higher compared with 35.1 million marka recorded in the same period last year, local media reported.
The most exported products were bombs, grenades, torpedoes, mines, rockets and similar military ammunition and their parts, Nezavisne news agency reported on Wednesday, quoting figures provided by the country's indirect taxation authority.
The largest part of the exports in the first three months of this year, some 21 million marka, were directed to the U.S., followed by exports to Slovakia with 19.1 million marka, Serbia with 12.5 million marka and Bulgaria with 10.1 million marka.
Bosina's arms exports amounted to 241.1 million marka last year, up from 196 million marka in 2022 and 192.9 million marka in 2021, according to the report.
