January 20 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 2,381 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 1.7 million dinars. NIS closed down 0.68% at 729 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.38% at 800.18 points.
Civil engineering company Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 2.99% to 690 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.29% at 1,725.82.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 4.5 million dinars ($42,400/38,300 euro) on Monday, down from 479.6 million dinars on Friday, as 42 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 406,360 dinars.
No Treasury bonds change hands on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday.
