April 30 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Zagrebacka Banka [ZSE:ZABA], part of UniCredit Group, said on Tuesday its net profit rose to 537 million kuna ($81.3 million/72.5 million euro) in the first quarter of 2019, from 470 million euro in the same period a year earlier.
The bank's net interest income grew 6.4% on the year to 884 million kuna, while net fees and commission income increased 16.3% to 378 million kuna, ZABA said in an interim financial statement.
UniCredit's Croatian unit recorded an operating income of 1.5 billion kuna through March, up 13.1% year on year. Its net operating profit amounted to 639 million kuna, compared to 549 million kuna in the same period last year.
The net value of customer loans edged up 0.3% to 81.8 billion kuna, while deposits increased to 104.9 billion kuna, up 2.4% on the year.
