April 23 (SeeNews) - Croatia's top lender Zagrebacka Banka (ZABA) [ZSE:ZABA], part of Italy's UniCredit Group, said on Tuesday it will appoint Dalibor Cubela as its new CEO.
He will replace Ivan Vlaho who will take another position within the UniCredit Group as of May 1, ZABA said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.
The appointment of Cubela is pending approval by the Croatian central bank and the European Central bank. From May 1 until the approval, David Bazzarello will be acting as CEO of ZABA.
In a separate press release, ZABA said that Ivan Vlaho will be appointed CEO of UniCredit Bank Austria.
Cubela comes from the position of deputy CEO of the Bulgaria's UniCredit Bulbank. Before that, from 2020 to 2023, he was general manager and deputy CEO of ZABA.
Zagrebacka Banka's shares traded flat 16.85 euro ($18.04) on the Zagreb bourse intraday on Tuesday.
