February 22 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian company insolvencies increased by 13% as compared to 2021 and were 1.6% higher as compared to the pre-pandemic 2019, local media reported.
Over 12,900 companies were declared bankrupt, entered insolvency proceedings or liquidation, or were struck off the register, business news outlet Capital.bg reported on Monday, citing data from the country's registry agency.
The number of newly registered Bulgarian companies last year was 14% higher than in 2020 but 14% lower than in 2019, it added.
