April 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's caretaker government said on Wednesday that it decided to introduce a two-month ban on the imports of over 20 goods from Ukraine, including cereals, honey and milk products.
The suspension of imports will apply between April 24 and June 30, and will exclude sealed goods in transit, the cabinet said in a statement.

Among the goods banned for import are soft and durum wheat, wheat flour, sunflower seed and oil, corn, rye, barley, oat flakes, sorghum, soy, linseed, rapeseed and buckwheat as well as honey and bee products, raw and dry milk and milk concentrate, and eggs. Chicken, pork, mutton and goat, wine, wine vinegar and ethyl alcohol also fall under the ban.
The government announced earlier on Wednesday that it is considering the temporary ban in the wake of similar measures taken by Poland, Hungary and Slovakia and until it awaits an EU-wide decision on how to address the impact of Ukrainian food imports on local producers.
