July 22 (SeeNews) - Slovenian energy firm Petrol [LJE:PETG] has unveiled the design of its planned new futuristic office building in Ljubljana.
"In order to cope with its future challenges, the company needs a building that will be a functional and aesthetic surplus built in accordance with sustainability criteria and will attract attention at home and the broader region or European space," Petrol said in a statement on Friday.
"The new Petrol business building will provide facilities that will enable a culture of integration and cooperation, as well as a healthy, stimulating and innovative working environment in which employees will be able to develop their potential."
Slovenian architectural bureau ENOTA has won the international architectural competition for the project, Petrol said.
Petrol did not say how much it would invest in building, neither provided a timeframe for its construction.
Regional news wire SeeBiz, however, reported that the investment in the new office building had been limited to 60 million euro ($67.3 million) in the competition documentation, while company representatives hope to move to the new office in 2022, if all goes according to plan.
Petrol reported a 2% annual rise in its consolidated net profit to 18.2 million euro in the first quarter of 2019, as the company's consolidated sales increased 19% on the year to 1.4 billion euro, mainly due to higher oil prices.
