August 19 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic output rose by a real 8.2% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2022, the statistical office said.
In the second quarter of 2022, gross fixed capital formation increased by 6.4%, while changes in inventories had a positive impact on GDP growth equal to 1.1 percentage points, the statistical office said in a statement earlier this week.
Household final consumption expenditure increased by 10.6% in the second quarter of 2022, exports grew by an annual 8.7%, while imports were up 8.5%.
In the first quarter of 2022, Slovenia's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 9.8% year-on-year.
Last month, the European Commission improved its economic growth forecast for Slovenia in 2022 to 5.4% from 3.7% predicted in May.
