April 24 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index rose in April by 2.1 percentage points (pps) monthly, after rising by 1.0 pp in March, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
On an annual comparison basis, the overall economic sentiment indicator increased by 0.7 pp in March, after declining by 2.3 pps in March, the statistical office said in a statement.
The monthly increase was influenced by higher values of four out of five confidence indicators, namely manufacturing, up 0.9 pp, retail trade, up 0.8 pp, consumers, up 0.7 pp and in services, up 0.1 pp. On the other hand, the construction confidence indicator went down by 0.3 pp and had a negative impact.
On an annual basis, indicators among consumers went up by 1.0 pps, in manufacturing grew by 0.4 pp, in retail trade went up by 0.2 pp. On the other hand, lower values of confidence indicators in construction and in services, down 0.6 pp and 0.3 pp, respectively, had a negative impact.
