April 2 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's consumer prices grew by 3.6% year-on-year in March, after rising by 3.4% in February, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices went up by 0.2% in March, after declining 0.8% in February, the statistical office said in a statement posted on its website.
The annual growth rate was pushed up the most, by 0.6 of a percentage point (pp) each, by 6.0% higher prices in the group recreation and culture and by 4.7% higher prices in the group housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels.
On a monthly comparison basis, the prices in the group clothing and footwear increased the most and contributed 0.5 pp to the inflation rate, whereas lower prices of package holidays, which were 14.3% cheaper at the end of winter season, eased the inflation by 0.5 pp.
Measured with the harmonised index of consumer prices, the annual growth of consumer prices was 3.4% in March.
