March 26 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s export and development bank SID Banka and the Slovenian Enterprise Fund (SPS) plan to make available a total of 512 million euro ($555 million) in loans and financial instruments to back the growth of local companies in 2024, the Slovenian government said.
A total of 333.2 million euro will be provided by the economy ministry, while the remaining 178.8 million euro will be covered by SID Banka and SPS, the Slovenian government said in a statement on Monday.
In addition, the economy ministry will also allocate 339.2 million euro in grants to the economy this year as part of 42 public tenders, the government noted.
"Our common goal is to support companies in their growth, development and operations in order to increase productivity and innovation, as well as the competitiveness and added value of the Slovenian economy," economy minister Matjaz Han said.
SID Banka, a state-owned promotional development and export bank, primarily secures funds through international borrowing and channels them into the economy through repayable means.
