March 18 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.37% higher at 966.25 points on Monday, as oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue-chip gainers, bourse data showed.
NIS closed 3.28% higher at 850 dinars in a volume of 209 shares.
At the same time, industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] paced the decliners, shedding 0.49% to 23,683 dinars.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] generated the day's largest turnover. A total of 356 Jedinstvo shares changed hands in a turnover of 2.6 million dinars. Jedinstvo closed 0.47% lower at 7,266 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed 0.15% higher at 2,093.82 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse plummetted to 6.2 million dinars ($57,650/52,950 euro) on Monday from 2.1 billion dinars on Friday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 423,409 dinars of Monday's turnover.
