May 7 (SeeNews) - Romania issued 8,673 building permits for residential projects in January-March, up 6.9% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INS, said on Tuesday.
As many as 62.1% of the permits issued in March were for projects located in Romania's rural areas.
The regional distribution shows an increase in all regions in the number of construction permits released for residential buildings.
INS provided no figure for the value of the projects which were granted permits.
The total number of permits for residential buildings issued in 2018 was 42,694, up 2.6% on the year.
