December 7 (SeeNews) - Romanian shipyard Santierul Naval Orsova [BSE:SNO] said it has signed a 2.61 million euro ($2.8 million) contract with Dutch company Gebr. de Jonge Shipbuilding Services for the construction and delivery of a river vessel.
Santierul Naval Orsova commits to build and deliver the ship to the buyer by June 30 next year, the shipyard said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
Under the contract, Gebr. de Jonge Shipbuilding is required to make an advance payment, with the remainder of the price to be delivered upon 30 days after the ship leaves the Orsova shipyard.
Santierul Naval Orsova shares traded 2.65% higher at 5.8 lei ($1.25/1.16 euro) as of 1515 CET on Thursday on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
