April 11 (SeeNews) - Romania sold on Thursday 580 million lei ($125.2 million/116.7 million euro) worth of fixed-rate government securities maturing on April 28, 2031, above target, central bank data showed.
The average accepted yield came in at 6.58%, unchanged from the previous auction of Treasury paper of the same issue held in March. Demand for the government securities, which have an annual coupon of 7.35%, fell to 719 million lei from 1.042 billion lei at the previous auction.
The issue will be reopened on Monday when the finance ministry hopes to raise an additional 60 million lei through a non-competitive tender.
