February 20 (SeeNews) - Romania recorded the EU's highest annual rise in construction output in December, at 30.7%, the bloc's statistical office said on Tuesday.
Romania also posted the biggest monthly increase in construction production in the EU and among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE), for which data is available, at 10.3%, Eurostat said in a monthly report.
In comparison, Bulgaria marked the sole monthly decline in construction output among EU states in SEE, at 0.5%, and the only annual fall in the region, at 3.5%.
In the EU overall, construction production went up 2.4% in annual terms and grew by 1.3% month-on-month in December.
