Slovenia recorded the third highest increase in construction production among EU28 in June, after Hungary, as its construction output grew by 5.5%, Eurostat said in a statement.
However, Slovenia and Romania recorded the biggest drops in construction output on a monthly comparison basis in June - by 6.7% and 2.8%, respectively.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe (SEE), Bulgaria's construction output increased by 1.4% on the year and was 0.4% lower month-on-month.
Data for Greece and Croatia was not available.
On average, construction output in the EU dropped by an annual 0.6%, mostly due to a fall in civil engineering production, and was 0.3% lower month-on-month.
