March 17 (SeeNews) - The number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Bosnia rose to 25 after the Federation entity's health ministry reported on Tuesday that a fifth patient has tested positive for the disease.

The health ministry of Bosnia's other entity - the Serb Republic, said that no new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed on the Serb Republic's territory and their number remains at 20.

On March 10, the Serb Republic government closed all schools and banned public gatherings for 21 days. On March 16, the entity's government declared a state of emergency.

On Friday, Bosnia's state-level government closed the borders to foreigners coming from areas with a high number of COVID-19 cases. All Bosnian citizens arriving in the country will be subject to self-isolation of 14 days as of March 16.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is made up of two autonomous entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic.
