April 23 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's central bank signed an agreement with the World Bank to join the lender's Reserve Advisory & Management Partnership (RAMP), thereby gaining access to advisory, training, and asset management services, the World Bank said.
World Bank RAMP specialists will offer on-site support to Bosnia's central bank, focusing on governance, strategic asset allocation, portfolio and risk management, as well as foreign currency hedging instruments, the global lender said in a press release on Monday.
"Cooperation with the World Bank, which provides expertise and experience, is a significant support to our efforts to improve the efficiency and compliance of foreign exchange reserve management with the highest international standards,” said Jasmina Selimovic, governor of Bosnia's central bank.
The World Bank's RAMP programme offers advisory, training, and asset management services to over 70 members, including central banks and sovereign wealth funds.
