January 23 (SeeNews) - Serbian oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices declined, bourse data showed.
A total of 2,646 of NIS' shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 1.8 million dinars. NIS' share price fell 0.15% to 686 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, closed 0.21% lower at 699.05 points on Wednesday.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the stock market, as its share price rose 0.32% to 2,214 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, declined 0.15% to 1,516.40 points.
The total turnover on the bourse increased to 3.9 million dinars ($37,419/32,920 euro) on Wednesday from 1.4 million dinars on Tuesday, as 97 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the Belgrade Stock Exchange resulted in a turnover of 650,798 dinars.
No bonds were traded on Tuesday.
