September 16 (SeeNews) - New passenger car registrations in Romania increased by an annual 5.8% to 83,349 in the first eight months of 2022, provisional data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) showed on Friday.
Romanian car manufacturer Dacia increased 14.6% on the year, to a total of 284,241 units in January-August, ACEA said in a statement.

Dacia’s market share rose at 4.7% over the first eight months of 2022, compared to 3.6% over the same period last year.
New passenger car registrations within the EU, excluding Malta, decreased by an annual 11.9% in January-August, to a total of 5.996 million units.
New passenger car registrations in Romania fell 4.1% on the year to 121,208 in 2021.
