April 24 (SeeNews) - A new direct railway line will be launched from Italy’s Villa Opicina near Trieste through Slovenia’s Divaca, Pivka and Ilirska Bistrica to Croatia’s northern Adriatic port Rijeka, Croatian passenger railway company HZ Putnicki Prijevoz (HZPP) said.
The new seasonal line will be operated daily from April 24 to September 30, HZPP said in a press release on its website.
The new line will be operated by a Stadler Flirt train owned by the Slovenian railways.
The service is co-financed by European Union funds.
