April 19 (SeeNews) - Croatian state-owned shipping company Jadrolinija said on Friday it has invested 18 million euro ($19.2 million) in the purchase of its biggest vessel so far - the Dalmacija ferry boat.
The ship was built in 1993 in the Norwegian shipyard Fosen Mekaniske Verksteder and so far has operated under the name Oslofjord, it said in a press release.
The average speed of the ferry boat is 17 knots, and it can carry 1,800 passengers and 350 cars.
Jadrolinija will operate the Dalmatia on the international line from Dubrovnik to Italy’s Bari.
