March 30 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government said it is relaxing some restrictions imposed to limit the spread of Covid-19 by allowing bars and restaurants to serve customers in outdoor areas without the need for proof of immunity to the disease.
The hospitality venues will be still obliged to require Covid-19 immunity certificates for indoors service, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.
Theatres, cinemas and other venues are now allowed to operate at 75% capacity instead of 50%.
Furthermore, students in elementary schools no longer have to wear masks during classes and university lectures will be held in person.
In the period from March 21 to March 27, North Macedonia registered a total of 1,696 new Covid-19 cases, down 7.5% compared with the week before, the country's Institute for Public Health said in a weekly report on Monday.
