August 17 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit widened by 6.3% on the year to $2.06 billion (2.02 billion euro) in the first six months of 2022, the country's statistics bureau said on Wednesday.
Moldova's exports were 72% higher on the year, while imports increased by 33.1% in the first six months of the year, the statistics office said in a statement.
In June alone, exports were 83% higher on the year to $415.4 million, while imports rose 29.7% to $764.8 million. June trade deficit narrowed by an annual 3.7% to $349.4 million.
