LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 3 (SeeNews) – The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell on Monday, as port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] recorded the sharpest losses among the blue chips, erasing gains it recorded on Friday, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, ended Monday's session 1.20% lower at 959.85 points.
Luka Koper's shares closed 2.46% lower at 23.8 euro. On Friday, the company’s shares rose 0.41% to a closing price of 24.4 euro.
No gainers were recorded among the blue chips on Friday.
Pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] contributed almost half of Monday’s total turnover – 724,610 euro. Total regulated market turnover fell to 1.45 million euro ($1.6 million) from 1.75 million euro on Friday.
