April 3 (SeeNews) - Albania’s agency of water supply, sewerage and waste infrastructure (AKUM) said it has signed a 680 million leks ($7.2 million/6.6 million euro) contract with a consortium of two local companies for a water supply project in three coastal tourist areas.
The value of the contract with the tie-up between construction companies Gjikuria and GPG Company is below the estimated budget of 743 million leks, the agency said in a signed contract announcement earlier this week.
The consortium should complete construction work for the infrastructure of the water delivery system to the Ionian Sea coastal areas of Dhermi, Drymades and Dhrale, within an 18-month period, the government agency said earlier in tender documents.
Gjikuria was established in 1995, while GPG Company a year later, according to the business register.
