LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), May 16 (SeeNews) – Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo said on Friday it posted a pre-tax profit of 1.0 million euro ($1.4 million) from operations in Slovenia in the first quarter of 2014, down 47.1% from a year earlier.
Operating income in Slovenia rose 11.8% on the year to 21 million euro in the first quarter, while operating costs were down by 2.59% to 11 million euro, Intesa Sanpaolo said in a financial report.
The group's deposit and loan portfolio in Slovenia amounted to 1.8 billion euro, each at end-March. Total banking assets stood at 2.4 billion euro at the end of the first quarter.
