October 10 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said it is inviting expressions of interest for consultancy services for rehabilitation works on roads in Moldova.
Moldova intends using the proceeds of a loan from the EBRD towards the cost of the Moldova Road Sector Programme where the construction supervision services are required, the bank said in a press release on Tuesday.
The objective of the construction supervision services is to oversee the execution of the works and administer the contract through efficient and effective expertise.
Moldova aims to rehabilitate Republican Road R14 from Balti to Sarateni, which connects the city of Balti with the M2 Chisinau – Soroca road via Singerei. The road forms part of primary route between Chisinau and Balti, the two largest cities in Moldova, providing significant regional and local connections, EBRD said.
The overall time for completion of the works under the contract is 730 days, while the defect notification period is 365 days.
