April 26 (SeeNews) - Croatia-based insurers reported overall premiums paid of 451.9 million euro ($485.1 million) in the first three months of this year, up from 411.2 million euro in the same period of 2023, official data showed on Friday.
Non-life premiums increased by 11.49%, reaching 374.2 million euro in the January-March period, Croatia's financial regulator, Hanfa, said in a monthly data release.
Life premiums rose 2.89% on the year to 77.7 million euro.
There were 15 insurers registered in the Adriatic country of 3.89 million people at the end of March.
As of the beginning of 2023, Hanfa started publishing figures on premiums paid instead of gross written premiums (GWP).
