April 30 (SeeNews) - Registrations of new medium and heavy commercial vehicles over 3.5 tonnes in Croatia rose 13.8% on the year to 609 vehicles in the first quarter of this year, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, ACEA, said on Tuesday.
Registrations of new light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes rose 47.1% to 2,291 vehicles in the first three months of 2024, ACEA said in a statement, citing provisional data.
New bus registrations in the Adriatic country rose 27% to 47 vehicles.
In the first quarter of 2024, new EU van sales rose by 12.6%, with nearly 400,000 units sold, ACEA said. In contrast, new EU truck registrations fell by 4% to 85,296 units. Bus sales also had a positive start to the year, with new EU registrations surging by 23.3% on the year to 9,624 units.
