Romanian developer Rock Holding will invest 70 million euro ($75.5 million) in a ski resort under the Kempinski brand in Romania's central county of Brasov, Switzerland's luxury hotel chain Kempinski Hotels said.
Kempinski Poiana Brasov mountain resort in the Carpathian Mountains will be the first five-star hotel in the Transylvania region and Kempinski's first address in Romania, the company said in a press release on Tuesday.
The project aims at transforming the region into a popular destination for travelers. The mountain resort will comprise 120 rooms and suites, a spa and wellness centre, three dining outlets, and a conference and events space.
