November 1 (SeeNews) - Three of the five main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) finished Wednesday's trading session in decline, while the blue-chip SOFIX remained unchanged at 747.00 points, bourse data showed.
The biggest advance among the blue-chips was recorded by First Investment Bank [BUL:FIB], or Fibank, which rose 2.22% to 2.76 levs with 28,535 shares traded.
By contrast, bourse operator Bulgarian Stock Exchange [BUL:BSE] slipped 2.69% to 10.85 levs. Additionally, SOFIX member Neochim [BUL:NEOH] erased 2.63% to 25.90 levs.
The rise in Fibank and a 1.89% climb in M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH] to 10.80 levs were not enough to keep the broader BGBX40 index in green territory. The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, edged down 0.08% to 157.14 points. Coupled with the losses at BSE and Neochim was a 1.50% decrease in Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH] to 9.85 levs.
For its part, the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, lost the most, or 0.52% to 781.73 points. Its weak performance was chiefly the result of a 7.69% tumble in Holding Sveta Sofia [BUL:HSOF] to 3.60 levs.
The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, shed 0.44% to 98.55 points. The index was pressed by a 3.33% loss at Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON] to 2.90 levs and a 1.59% decline in investment firm ImPulse I [BUL:IMP] to 1.24 levs.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, however, was again the sole index to notch a gain on the day. It added 0.53% to 190.73 points as a result of a 5.26% jump in Sopharma Buildings REIT [BUL:SFB] to 24.00 levs.
The most liquid stock was Rodna Zemya Holding [BUL:HRZ], which generated 4.23 million levs ($2.3 million/2.2 million euro). The stock closed flat after 1,420,000 shares changed hands.
Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse slid to 5.18 million levs on Wednesday from 17.88 million levs on Tuesday.
