May 7 (SeeNews) - The number of residential building permits issued in Bulgaria in the first quarter of 2024 grew by an annual 4.3% to 1,823, the statistical office said.
Compared to the last quarter of 2023, the number of residential building permits dropped by 19.9%, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement last week.
A total of 27 permits for the construction of office buildings were issued in the January-March period, jumping by 42.1% in annual terms and by 22.7% quarter-on-quarter.
In terms of other types of buildings, 1,094 permits in total were issued in the review period, marking an annual rise of 5.7%. The number of issued permits was 13.2% lower compared to October-December 2023.
