BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 23 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Serb Republic in August increased by 8.8% year-on-year to 111, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings grew 12% on an annual basis in August, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects decreased 4.8%, the Institute of Statistics of the Serb Republic said in a monthly report.
Out of the total number of permits issued in August, 90 covered new construction projects, seven were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings.
Based on the number of permits, planned dwellings numbered 235, up 7% compared to August 2018.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
