March 6 (SeeNews) - NLB Banka Banja Luka [BANJ:VBBB-R-A], a Bosnian subsidiary of Slovenia's Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB), said its net profit increased 36.7% year-on-year to 43.8 million marka ($24.4 million/22.4 million euro) in 2023.
Net interest income came in at 62 million marka in 2023, up from 43.5 million marka a year earlier, the lender said in a bourse filing earlier this week.
Net fee and commission income increased to 31.3 million marka in 2023, compared with 30.9 million marka in 2022.
The assets of NLB Banka Banja Luka totalled 2.25 billion marka at the end of 2023, compared with 2.13 billion marka a year earlier.
The bank's shares have not traded on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) in the past year.
The Slovenian banking group has another subsidiary in Bosnia - NLB Banka based in Sarajevo, in the Federation entity.
The Federation and the Serb Republic are two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina.
