SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 28 (SeeNews) – The indices of Bosnia's two bourses, the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) and the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE), ended the week down amid lower turnover, bourse data indicated on Friday.
SASE's 10-share benchmark SASX-10 index decreased 1.77% from last Friday to 623.23 points this week.
The broader SASX-30 index, which comprises the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, closed at 1,131.99 points, down 0.23% compared to last Friday.
The SASE index, tracking investment funds, the BIFX, declined 0.64% from last week to 710.55 points.
The Islamic stock index SASX-BBI, launched by SASE and Bosna Bank International (BBI), fell 2.36% to 9,956.77 points. The index tracks 25 companies.
SASE's total trading turnover came in at 2.8 million marka ($1.6 million/1.4 million euro), down from 50.4 million marka last week.
Pharmaceutical co Bosnalijek [SAJ:BSNLR] was the most traded stock on SASE's official market. The stock generated a trading turnover of 68,075 marka this week.
SASE is based in the Federation, one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The BLSE is based in the other entity, the Serb Republic.
BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, declined 2.35% from last Friday, reaching 559.84 points this week.
Bosnia's Nova Banka [BANJ:NOVB-R-E] generated the biggest trading turnover of 335,816 marka on BLSE's official market this week.
BLSE’s total trading turnover reached 10.7 million marka this week, down from 22.5 million marka last week.
