April 4 (SeeNews) - Albania's road authority, ARRSH, said on Thursday it has opened tender procedures for the construction of two sections of a road that will connect the southern city of Berat to the Ballaban village further south, near the city of Gjirokaster.
The total cost of the two sections is estimated at 4.2 billion leks ($44 million/40 million euro), the road authority said in a tender notice. Prospective bidders will be required to complete all works within two years.
Bids for each of the two road sections can be submitted until May 8.
In July, ARRSH said it signed a 2.2 billion leks contract with local construction company Albavia for the construction of a 16-kilometre section of the same road. The company must complete the task in two years from the start.
