May 7 (SeeNews) - Serbian steel structures and equipment manufacturer Mikom plans to build a factory for construction containers in the northern town of Srbobran, relocating production operations from its existing site in Novi Sad, the Srbobran municipal government reported.
“Mikom already has a production plant in Novi Sad, which will be completely moved to Srbobran and employ our fellow citizens. The company aims to complete the process as soon as possible in order to continue its regular economic activities and expand production,” Srbobran mayor, Radivoj Debeljacki, said in a press release last week.
Mikom plans to hire 200 employees after completing the first phase of the development of the factory, after which the number will increase to 300.
Established in 1993, Novi Sad-based Mikom manufactures and assembles steel structures and equipment. It has around 150 employees.
