May 7 (SeeNews) - U.S.-based green building materials manufacturer Ecor Global plans to build its second factory in Serbia in the northern municipality of Novi Becej, the local government said.
The company has already acquired land in the municipality’s industrial zone, the Novi Becej local government said in a press release last week.
The size of the investment was undisclosed.
The facility will have a larger capacity than the company’s factory in Kraljevo, Dejan Vujovic, CEO of Ecor Global Serbia, said, adding that the company plans to construct a biomass collection centre in Novi Becej as part of the first phase of development.
Ecor opened its first factory in Serbia’s central city of Kraljevo in 2013.
Established in 2006, San Diego-headquartered Ecor Global develops recycling technologies and manufactures advanced green building materials. It also has an office in the Netherlands and employs 200 people.
