The total financial result of the companies licensed to market motor oils in 2013 was negative for second year in a row, amounting to BGN 14.072 mln. However, it narrowed, compared to 2012 when it stood at BGN 30.587 mln.
The total number of employees in the motor oils and lubricants traders was 9,960 in 2013, up by 3.4% from 2012. The 10 largest companies employed 65.2% of the workforce in the segment. Their annual growth in 2013 was higher than the whole segment – 4.6%.
The macroeconomic environment will continue to influence the Bulgarian lubricants markets. The development of Bulgarian lubricants market will depend primarily on the resolution of the Ukraine conflict, the economic situation in Asia and the movement of energy prices.
