The combined costs of the companies in the Wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles industry reached BGN 80,425,222,000 in 2018, up by 6.90% year-on-year.
The industry's total revenue makes up 84.67% to the country's Gross domestic product (GDP) in 2018, compared to 81.66% for 2017 and 78.58% in 2016.
A total of 131,434 people were employed in the Wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles industry in 2018, compared to 131,626 in 2017 and 132,579 in 2016.
Most of the companies in the industry are based in Sofia, followed by Plovdiv and Varna.
