The industry's total revenue makes up 0.55% to the country's Gross domestic product (GDP) in 2017, compared to 0.55% for 2016 and 0.50% in 2015.
A total of 2,368 people were employed in the Motion picture, video and television programme production, sound recording and music publishing activities industry in 2017, compared to 2,275 in 2016 and 2,315 in 2015.
Most of the companies in the industry are based in Sofia, followed by Varna and Plovdiv.
