May 25 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed higher on Monday, breaking a three-day losing streak, with hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] pacing the blue-chip winners, bourse data showed.
Valamar's shares gained 3.2% to close at 25.80 kuna, generating the largest single portion of the daily turnover - of 690,000 kuna.
At the other end, food, beverage and drug producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] led the blue-chip losers by shedding 1.2% to close at 413 kuna.
Six of the ten blue chips closed the trading day higher, two fell, and two traded flat.
ZSE's total trading turnover declined to 2.3 million kuna ($331,000/303,000 euro) on Monday from 2.6 million kuna on Friday.
The bourse's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index rose 0.43% to 1,576.47 on Monday, after falling 0.17% on Friday.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, was up 0.50% to 978.91, after shedding 0.30% on Friday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index edged up 0.03% at 110.6300.
