April 1 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) dropped on Wednesday with shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] leading the blue-chip decliners, ZSE data showed.
Atlantska's shares fell 3.13% to close at 155 kuna.
At the other end, telecommunication services provider Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] recorded the highest gain among the blue chips for a third consecutive day on Wednesday, jumping 12.37% to close at 5.40 kuna.
When asked by the ZSE if it was aware of any facts or circumstances that could have influenced its share price, Optima said in a brief note on Wednesday it had no knowledge of any such specific information.
Five blue-chip companies closed the Wednesday session lower, while the remaining five advanced.
Trading in blue-chip Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] contributed the highest single portion of the ZSE's total turnover. Its share price closed down 1.54% at 160 kuna in a 3.3 million kuna turnover.
The ZSE's total trading turnover rose to 19.7 million kuna ($2.8 million/2.6 million euro) on Wednesday, from 16.4 million kuna on Tuesday.
The bourse's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index dropped by 0.58% to 1,471.92 after advancing 2.10% on Tuesday.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, ended its six-day positive streak by shedding 0.16% to 915.77 points on Wednesday after rising by 1.76% on Tuesday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index edged down 0.06% to 111.0500.
