March 17 (SeeNews) - Passenger traffic at Zagreb Airport rose 4.0% on the year to 387,271 in the first two months of 2020, Aeroports de Paris (ADP), which is a shareholder in the company operating Croatia's biggest international airport, said.
In February alone, Zagreb Franjo Tudjman Airport handled some 184,236 passengers, up 1.7% on the year, while in the last twelve months through February, the number of passengers was up by 3.1% to some 3.45 million, ADP said in a statement on Monday.
At the same time, aircraft movement at the airport were up 4.4% on the year to 6,127 in January-February, while in February alone the figure rose by an annual 5.9% to almost 3,000, the statement reads.
In the last twelve months through February, aircraft movement rose by 3.4% to 45,317.
ADP and Turkey's TAV Airports (46%-owned by ADP Group) hold stakes of 21% and 15%, respectively, in airport operator Zagreb Airport International Company (ZAIC).
In 2012, the Croatian government and ZAIC signed a 30-year concession contract for the management of the airport and the construction of a new terminal.
The remaining shareholders in ZAIC are France's Bouygues Batiment International with 20.8%, EU-backed Marguerite Fund with 20.8%, IFC with 17.6%, and Croatia's Viadukt with 5.1%.
