November 12 (SeeNews) - Spanish low-cost airline Volotea plans to start operating a direct seasonal line connecting the French city of Marseille to Croatia's Rijeka in June 2019, according to flight schedule data.
The new service will be launched on June 5 and will be operated once a week, on Wednesdays, until August 28, data from the flight schedule of Volotea posted on its corporate website shows.
The route will be Volotea's first to Rijeka.
Volotea also plans to launch a seasonal flight linking France's Bordeaux to Croatia's Pula on June 5, 2019, as well as Lyon-Split and Lyon-Dubrovnik flights on April 14 and April 17, respectively.
Last year, Croatia's tourism minister Gari Cappelli said Volotea aims to carry 220,000 passengers to Croatia by 2020.
